As the Senior Manager Finance Operations & External Reporting you are responsible for several departments which together form the core for the financial reporting both internally and externally, the latter signed off bi-annually by the external auditors. You will closely work with the team and we trust in the way you create change and encourage and includes others. In this role, you:

Contribute to the core ambition of the Finance Vision 2025 ‘We create sustainable value every day’.
Are responsible for managing RSG Finance together with the MT Finance colleagues on a strategic and tactical level, including formulating the finance strategy and translate this into main goals for Finance Operations & External Reporting.
Safeguard and manage the financial team to enable accurate, complete and timely deliverables within tight deadlines, managing the external auditor and all reporting compliance matters including tax.
Are front facing to external parties such as the external auditor, Tax Authorities and consultancy firms.
Safeguard the financial risk and control framework together with the financial risk officer.
Advise on complex accounting matters and tax topics.
Are responsible for continuous improvement and efficiency of the O2C, P2P and R2R processes by managing and steering the business process managers.

Under your guidance Group Reporting is responsible for the consolidated financial figures on Group level, external (IFRS) reporting, and obtaining sign-off from our external auditors. Group Reporting also encompasses the tax department. The O2C and P2P departments ensure well run efficient transactional processes, while R2R (financial control) ensures accurate reporting on operating-level and is responsible for the timely, accurate, and complete P&L and Balance Sheet for the individual business units.

15+ years relevant working experience within (corporate) finance departments and preferably relevant external audit experience within the Big 4.
WO degree in accounting or finance with an advanced degree or certification (such as RA, CPA, CA or ACCA)
Counterpart for MT Finance, Director Finance and CFO
Proven experience in steering a team with a large span of control
Strong organizational skills and capacity to continuously improve with the team
Proactive in advice and independently initiates improvement processes
Excellent communication skills to convince at different levels within the organization
Strong analytical skills and result oriented
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Dutch and English

€ 8040 to € 11072 gross per month (Buiten-CAO 4-C).
Availability bonus.
Participation in the ABP pension fund.

Finance

The finance function of Royal Schiphol Group, made up of six distinct departments with 140 people in total, is responsible for ensuring company finances and both internal and external reporting thereover are in good order. Insights, through actual performance and future planning cycles, to the various business functions support and steer decisions today and in the future. We are key in ensuring the capital investment portfolio of the Group is controlled throughout various projects’ lifecycle whilst our Treasury and corporate finance department ensure funding and financing is in an optimal balance not only for current operations but also future business developments.
