  • As a portfolio manager, you will help bring our portfolio management to the next level. The IT & Data portfolio consists of about 400 initiatives, with a yearly capex spend of around 120 million. 
  • Together with 3,000 proud colleagues, we work towards our mission to be 'the world's most sustainable and high-quality airports'. 
  • You will work closely with the Senior Portfolio Manager IT & Data on running and improving the portfolio management process.

Within Schiphol IT & Data we are in the middle of a programme to improve the portfolio management capability. As our new Portfolio Manager you will make a significant contribution to this programme and help our mission to connect The Netherlands with the rest of the world. How you make this happen? That is up to you. At Schiphol Group, we have confidence in your talents and the way in which you use them as Portfolio Manager for the following:
  • Contributing to the improvement of the portfolio management process. In doing this, you are involved in defining and enhancing project metrics, creating reports that provide better insights, and establishing templates for better management of various projects. You can restructure communication channels, processes, and roles and can create an approach that supports both agile and waterfall projects.
  • In addition, you are responsible for executing the existing portfolio management process. You ensure the smooth execution of the quarterly portfolio update and conduct a feasibility assessment of the requested versus available capacity. You enhance the accuracy of data related to the portfolio and metrics, and share this information with other programs and (sub)portfolios within the Royal Schiphol Group. Lastly, you coordinate project finances with project controllers and prepare monthly reports for the management team (MT) and the central portfolio management team.
  • Finally, you contribute to the processes of the central portfolio management team.
You've got this
For this role you have the ability to concentrate and work with attention to detail. Furthermore, you show courage and you know how to trust on your own capabilities. Lastly, you have:
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Proficiency in both Dutch and English, written and verbally.  
  • Basic interest in and knowledge of at least one of the following core capabilities: cloud, cyber security, RPA, data, infrastructure, COBIT.  
  • Strong knowledge of and experience with Agile (the SAFE framework) and Waterfall project management methodologies.
  • Strong understanding of scope and use of portfolio management within a corporate organisation.
  • Experience with working with PowerBI or other dashboarding tool.

  • € 4,594 to € 6,374 gross per month (Scale 12).
  • 8.33 % bonus at the end of the year 
  • Participation in the ABP pension fund.
