As Cloud Platform Engineer you ensure cloud infrastructure stability and scalability, preventing disruptions in systems critical for passenger safety, logistics, and airport operations. How you achieve results in this? That’s up to you. We trust in the way you can distinguish between main and secondary issues and make connections. You put your talents to work at:

Designing and maintaining Azure and Databricks cloud based data infrastructure for the DnA Department.
Implementing and optimizing CI/CD pipelines, automating-, and deploying infrastructure using Terraform.
Supporting and training other data & platform engineers, collaborating cross-functionally across different teams.
Troubleshooting issues, ensuring platform security and reliability.
Gathering stakeholder requirements and translating these into relevant user stories

You’ll be deeply involved in optimizing the tech stack for Europe’s leading airport, participating in innovative projects involving data, AI and large-scale (data) automation. Opportunities include working with Azure, Databricks and Openshift, and occasionally leading cloud adoption initiatives across Schiphol’s strategic business units.

5+ years relevant experience in cloud platform engineering.
Advanced expertise with Azure and Databricks; Unity Catalog experience is a plus.

Knowledge of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP).
Experience with Openshift and application deployments.
Skilled in version control and support for shared services.
Ability to lead other engineers by example
Translate complex problems into actionable items and work together with the team to complete them.
